RECAP
Friday, surfed Sunrise after work. Being out of the water for almost 2 months can really throw off your rhythm off. After 45 minutes of adjusting, tweaking and letting waves go by, the buttons finally clicked and I caught two waves with feet in "go fast" position and made it down the line. Too bad the lulls got longer and the got smaller. Oh well. At least I'll be ready for tomorrow.
I noticed something yesterday.... Sunrise looks a lot like Countyline... Seriously, look at the point from in front of the Lifeguard Tower.
Went to a Star Wars themed costume bday party. Some people went all out and the chickie and I showed up as ourselves.. WITH SOME GUINNESS!!! MMMMMMM!!
Saturday, surfed County and didn't do to well. I think it was the tide. Waves would jack up then die down. Frustrating. I managed to catch a few and had a good time. One wave to mention was my last. I caught it sort of on the inside and popped up and had to beat the section. Task one, done. Dropper inner pulled out. Task two, done. Pump one more time to hit the lip and go home happy. Task three, failed. My back foot slipped off when I pumped, did the splits and my calf cramped. Wiped out pretty good. Still a great way to end the sesh. At least I didn't have to make the paddle of shame back in. A few notes: by hit the lip, I mean go up and throw the biggest bucket.. ah who am I kidding. I can make bigger spray with my hand. And I really need to rewax my board!
After that, went home, ordered some ribs (super good!!!), took a nap and headed down to SD to watch a Charger game with the chickie. Left at 3pm and sat down in my seat at 8:10pm. Damn I hate traffic. ARGH! At least the game is gonna make it better right? Damn you Rivers for fumbling and losing possession in the first two plays, which both resulted in TDs and forcing the person next to me, who happened to be a Seahawk fan, rubbed it in. Good thing he got it together and the Chargers came back and won. I would like to personally thank the people that sat in the front row for holding down the net. On the first PAT, the ball came flying at us. I would have caught it, but I had my camera in my hand. DAMMIT!!! Oh well, great game and definitely good times and damn motherf-ing good carne asada fries. If you're in SD, it's off Jackson near grossmont.

Overall, a great weekend and I don't think I could have surf Sunday morning. Too beat.
